The vineyard on the Wageningse Berg

You are yourself nearby the villa village ' Wageningen Hoog ', with a lot of villas and houses which are worth to examine at a distance. Something further on we have the ' hondeveldje ', a bit nature which is possible to visit with children (small watchtower).

'De Wielerbaan' lies directly in the area ' De Eng '. This area characterizes itself by the slopes in the landscape on the North side of the Wageningse berg (mount), where we can find the old Wageningen-footballstadium.

In the direct surroundings nature is very varied, we mention the 'Wageningse Berg' with its many (bunch)foot-paths, the 'Ginkelse hei' (heath land) with the sheep-pen and sheep shepherd, the 'binnenveld' with the splendid farmer-roads and the extensive landscape to the banks of the river Rhine with ferry boat.

Wageningen lies there where the 'Veluwe', 'Utrechtse Heuvelrug', 'Gelderse vallei' and 'Betuwe' comes together. These splendid country regions guarantee for alternation and beauty. Ideal thus, the spider web to bicycle - and foot-paths. Here and there with a ferry to the other side of the river, or with speed down the Grebbeberg, you will be astonished of the possibilities!
